Spinning is not only an ancient tool but it is also an art form. There was a time when having a spinning wheel was vital to the quality of life, or at least the quality of your clothes.

Over the years the spinning wheel has moved from a functional necessity to a piece of furniture. Although the traditional wood spinning wheel is beautiful; it is often not affordable to many people.       

In 1996 the first Babe spinning wheel was introduced to the world. Developed by Nels Wiberg Babe's Wheels provide people with an inexpensive way to learn the ancient art of spinning, and to experience the joy of turning natural fibers into yarn. They are a perfect way to get a wheel without having to investing in an expensive wooden wheels, and the best part is Babe's Wheels work just as well!

Babe's Fiber Garden, LLC moves the Grindstone to new location at 210 E. Clay Street, Whitewater, WI 

We now have a store front where we have a display room, class room, accessories room and the sales office.  Plus we have 1100 square feet of basement for the design and development work shop, my fun stuff.

The only thing that changes is our new address.
