The Difference Between Fiber Starter and the Production Machine

The difference between the Fiber Starter and the Production is the size of the wheel which is 17” vs. 21-1/4" and orifice height of 26-1/8" vs. 28".   This increases the bobbin ratios to: 5 7/8:1, 7 1/2:1and 21:1, so for the same amount of work you get more accomplished.

Production wheels come with 6 bobbins, 3 at 5 7/8:1 and 3 at 7 1/2:1 and by dropping the drive band down on the flange to a v grove you have 21:1, 4 lazy kates, 1/4 lb. Brown Sheep Co. roving, a oil bottle and Spinning Babe’s instruction booklet. The frame is available in two colors, White

 or Black Sheep. Available as a single treadle or a double treadle.
