Assembly instructions for 29" Skein Winder

- Take all the parts out of the boxes.
- Make the bobbin payoff first using the picture.
- Put the 4 wood dowels in the bottom lone tube. You might
need to pound them in. .
- Next put the top tube with the screw eyes pointing down into the
elbows or one side and put the tube with the dowel onto the tee.
Then put the other side in place. Stand it up and put on the
feet. If you want to keep this set up like this all the time you
might superglue the joints. The feet are glued.
- Next make the base for the SW. Put the support pieces on the
tees. Put the long tube with label on the tee where the motor
mount is.
- Put the other long tube with the screw holes up on the elbow.
Then put the other end in place.
- Put the handle on the brass tube and put in place per picture.
You will need to study the picture very closely to put the SW
together.
- Start with piece on the left and slide it onto the axle and take
the bolt in the cross and push the cross up against the clip in the
axle. Reinsert the bolt with the washers on the out side of the clip.
This is what makes the SW turn and keeps it in place. Next put
on the middle piece and end piece. Next put on the long tube you
see at the top of the picture and put in the quick release pins.
Next find the long tube that has a screw hole in the center and put it
on the center arm that has the matching hole and insert it into the
elbow and push on the other end tee to the end piece. Put the other
two long tubes in place. Lift out of base the tap in all the
parts into the joints all the way. Put the motor in place.
Put drive band on two of the hooks then on the pulley of motor put the
drive band down so it goes on a third hook. Plug foot controller
into motor. Important do not run at a fast speed until you
are sure everything is okay and you have some yarn on the SW.
After test running and it works okay. You can think of maybe superglue
the joints
- Put the optional yardage counter and tension board in front of SW as
pictured. The Velcro on the yardage counter can be used to hold
it in place if you like.
